Natural Gas Installation Services
Residential Natural Gas Installation
Indoor installation is the process of laying the natural gas installation inside. When laying this installation, the first step is to install the natural gas meter.
After the meter installation, the pipe is laid inside. After the pipe laying process is completed, gas is supplied to the indoor installation.
Flexible metal connection elements should be used in the installation of the natural gas meter. These connections eliminate the possibility of pre-stressing in the meter connections. In the installation of the indoor installation, a gas cut-off valve in accordance with the TS EN 331 standard should be used. These valves should be placed in places that are easily accessible in case of danger. During the installation of the installation, the meters should be placed by leaving a 2 cm gap from the wall.
There are some stages that should be taken into consideration in the natural gas pipe installation process, which is the next step after the meter installation. First of all, a pipe sheath must be placed on the outside of the pipe. The inner diameter of the concentrically laid pipe and sheath must be at least 20 mm larger than the outer diameter of the pipe. The pipes used when laying the indoor installation must be placed in a completely leak-proof manner. Protective pipes should protrude approximately 10 mm from the outside and inside, 20 mm from the top and 10 mm from the bottom (ceiling) in floor transitions. The sheath should be fixed to the place where it passes with cement mortar or plaster. The sheath material to be used should be hard plastic or steel in wall transitions, and only steel sheaths should be used in floor-floor transitions.
Building Natural Gas Installation Sections
- Main Cut-Off Valve: It is a spherical type gas cut-off element placed at the beginning of the connection line to completely cut off the gas supplied to a building or to control the gas belonging to a flat.
- Distribution Pipe: It is a vertical or horizontal pipeline drawn from the main safety valve and regulator to the inlet connections of the gas meters.
- Column Pipe: It is a vertically drawn distribution pipe.
- Meter Connection Line: It is the pipe located between the column line and the meter inlet.
- Consumption Line: It is the main pipe from the meter to the last separation (sortie) line.
- Separation Line: It is the pipe separated from the consumption line and up to the device connection valve (sortie tap).
- Device Connection Line: It is the line from the device connection valve to the device.
Industrial Natural Gas Installation
In industrial natural gas installations, experienced and expert companies in this field should be preferred. The reason for this is that these systems require great importance and care in terms of both life and property safety. For this reason, the company selection should be made carefully.
During the project design processes of industrial natural gas installations, engineers must adhere to occupational safety and worker health rules. During installation, conversion processes to natural gas should be carried out in accordance with the required gas flow and pressure. In this process, the current boiler and burner conditions are taken into account. In addition, basic elements such as the boiler room, ventilation status, security systems and chimney are taken into consideration. During industrial natural gas installations, the natural gas line is taken from the necessary delivery points and installed.
For Industrial Natural Gas Installations, respectively:
- Gas flow rate and pressure values are determined.
- Pipeline design is made according to these values.
- The type and age of the burners in the facility are taken into consideration. Or, the burners suitable for the capacity are selected.
- The location and ventilation of the boiler room are evaluated according to technical specifications.
- Chimneys are corrected according to specifications or rebuilt if necessary.
- For the safety and longevity of the facility, materials that comply with the standards are used and service is provided by sending an expert team in the field.
At gas delivery points, the gas flow rate required for industrial natural gas installations varies depending on the pressure and whether the natural gas line in the region is steel or PE.
Gas Delivery Points Used in Industrial Natural Gas Installations Are As Follows:
- Station (fed from PE line)
- Station (Fed by steel line)
- Service box
Counter Selection:
Two factors are important to determine the required meter size in the facility:
- Maximum gas flow rate required for the facility.
- Minimum gas pressure in the line where the meter is located.
Route Selection:
Attention should be paid to passing the pipeline through safe places where it will not be exposed to mechanical damage and excessive stress. Pipelines should never be passed through places such as fuel tanks, drainage channels, sewers, ventilation shafts, elevator shafts and fire escapes. Underground gas pipes should be at a sufficient safety distance from other pipes and buildings. Flexible connection elements should be used against mechanical stresses that may occur at the pipeline's transition points.
- The gas pipeline should be encased in a steel sheath,
- Welded joints should not be used for the sheath pipe,
- No auxiliary pipe elements should be installed in these places,
- The risk of corrosion should be reduced to zero,
- A suitable ventilation system should be established.
Natural Gas RMS Installation
Natural Gas RMS (Regulating and Metering Station) installation covers a series of operations performed to use natural gas safely and efficiently. RMS stations are used to reduce and measure the pressure of natural gas.
Here is some basic information about RMS installation:
- Gas Inlet and Filtration: Natural gas enters the RMS station through the gas inlet valve and is passed through filters to clean solid and liquid particles inside.
- Heating: According to gas laws, the temperature of the gas drops as a result of sudden pressure changes. [Therefore, natural gas is heated before the pressure is reduced.
- Pressure Reduction: The heated natural gas is subjected to pressure reduction processes and adjusted to the desired fixed outlet pressure.
- Measurement: The natural gas whose pressure is reduced enters the measurement unit and the necessary measurements for billing are made here.
RMS stations perform the pressure reduction and measurement processes required for industrial and residential use of natural gas
